Amprion-pilot project "UA Nehden"

IEC 61850 comprises various parts and defines not only the data structure and communication of IEDs (IEC 61850 station bus level), but also the digital transfer of converter signals based on Ethernet (part 9-2).

The evaluation of the converter values is done by Merging-Units (IEC 61850 process bus level). Latest findings aim at a combination of process bus IEC 61850-9-2 with real-time Ethernet, a new development in the field of industry automation.

Amprion GmbH has launched a F&E-Project regarding "Intelligent Switch Bay" , which also requires special tasks from the voltage regulator REG-D.

The project is in real operation since the 04.th quarter of 2011.
