A. Eberle recognised as a leading innovator in the German SME sector for the second time

TOP100 2017

A. Eberle GmbH & Co. KG is one of this year’s leading innovators in the German SME sector. The Nuremberg-based company will be presented with the Top 100 award, now in its 24th year, by Ranga Yogeshwar, Professor Nikolaus Franke and compamedia. This is the second time that A. Eberle has joined this elite group. During the independent selection process the company scored particularly highly in the ‘Innovative Processes & Organisation’ and ‘Successful Innovations’ categories.

We look to the future with great optimism.
Till Sybel

Managing director of A. Eberle GmbH & Co KG

A. Eberle looks to the future with great optimism, despite the significant changes sweeping through the energy sector as a result of the shift in German energy policy. The old transport and distribution network, for example, has to be completely rebuilt so that electricity can be distributed intelligently, when and where it is needed. The family-owned company, which was founded in 1980, has been working on technical solutions to achieve this since 2008. One example is its LVRSys active voltage regulator, which provides lasting protection against voltage fluctuations. It can save electricity suppliers the expense of expanding their grid in stages, until it is absolutely clear how high the feed-in voltage is. The innovative prowess of A. Eberle is borne out by its success – they are the top company in their sector and have now won the Top 100 accolade for the second time.

These types of product are made possible by focusing on development and the effective organisation of innovation processes in order to meet market needs. More than half of the 82 employees at A. Eberle are engineers and technicians, and there are also two innovations managers. When it comes to manufacturing, the Nuremberg-based innovators rely on collaboration with long-standing partners, as “low-cost material procurement, flexible and rapid production, and high product quality all guarantee success,” according to A. Eberle’s other managing director, Harald Straußberger.
