Low Voltage Regulation for network operators (EEG) / Description

Description:

The low voltage regulation system LVRSys™ represents a cost effective alternative for grid expansion. The economic use is recommended in all low voltage grids where short-circuit power is sufficient, but have voltage maintenance problems.

Voltage stability problems can occur locally (in single lines) or at the level of the entire low voltage grid. LVRSys™ can be used with flexibility as line regulator or as direct regulator on the local grid station.

Advantages LVRSys™:
  • Voltage regulation in local grids from 22 kVA to 630 kVA
  • For use as string regulator or as local grid regulator
  • Regulation range from ±6 % to ±20 % of the nominal voltage
  • Independent regulation of three-phases voltages
  • Optional power quality-analysis according to EN 50160 and IEC 61000-2-2

Flexibility

The system can be easily integrated into fiberglass or concrete made cable distribution cabinets. The system can be supplied as a construction kit.

Elektromobility

In 2015 the discovered “dieselgate” scandal has brought in Germany the issue of electromobility into a new light. The federal government planed to have 1 million electric vehicles on the roads by 2020. By 2030, this figure is expected to reach 6 million.

The total emitted emissions from electrical energy production and electric mobility can only be reduced if the electrical power generation will be supplied by renewable energy resources.

Studies describe the effects of electric vehicles on the transmission grid until 2030 as “almost not noticeable”. The dirstribution grids will be more utilized. As a result of which grid operators are forced (again after the boom of photovoltaics) to expand the grid. 90% of the E-vehicles charging will be done at home via a 32 A charger. This leads to voltage stability problems in rural power grids. The low-voltage-regulation system, designed as a controllable road distribution cabinet, is designed to provide help precisely in this direction.

The right voltage is the key.
