Low Voltage Regulation System LVRSys®

Indoor

According to EN 50160, network operators are able to supply their end consumers with a fluctuating voltage. The tolerance limits here are ± 10%, starting from the nominal voltage U N (400 V L-L). This corresponds to a reliable voltage range around a U N of 80 V. Machines, drives and lighting systems are most efficient to operate when the voltage is at their operating point. As a rule, the optimal operating point is the nominal voltage of the grid. Outside the operating point, the efficiency and service life of the equipment are reduced. Particularly lighting systems such as LEDs lose longevity as the voltage increases. Especially for industrial applications, the LVRSys® can be set with reaction time parameters below 30 ms.

Product Overview A. Eberle

A flexible and robust system

From years of experience we know that devices for installation in industrial networks have to fulfil the highest requirements in terms of robustness and uptime. Our systems are short circuit-proof to 50 kA, show great stability in the face of overloads, direct and indirect lightning strikes and are resistant to harmonics and rapid load changes.

Network compatible, easy to install

The system has no effect on the network, meaning it neither causes flickers nor harmonics. It ensures voltages are kept symmetrical through phase-independent regulation and can be integrated into any existing fuse design. It also guarantees an uninterruptible voltage supply.

Simple installation, intuitive and safe

To make the application of the low-voltage regulation system as intuitive as possible, its installation has been designed to be analogous to that of the cable distribution cabinet. Unlike a standard network regulator, the system can be connected in the usual way via vertical fuse rails. Safety is paramount for us. The system is fully enclosed, guaranteeing the lowest possible risk of contact.

A reliable and economical system all round

The system is impressive in its efficiency, achieving a range >99.5%. The device is designed for a service life of 40 years. Apart from terminal inspections, no maintenance is required during this time.

Flexible, rapid and easy to use

The reaction time of the regulator can be set between <30 ms and 100 s with the regulatory algorithms adjusted to the most varied fields of application. In addition, the recorded data can be exported to a USB stick and firmware updates achieved by the same medium or by remote maintenance. Naturally, the system also provides the common communications interfaces Modbus TCP and IEC 60870-5-104.
